How we create our content

Editorial policy

When an article on this site carries Dr. Abhishek Kini’s name, it means he has read it, corrected it, and approved it for publication. This page explains exactly how that happens.

How our content is created

Every article on this site is developed from Dr. Abhishek Kini’s recorded clinical explanations and interviews. Our editorial team drafts and structures the content with the help of AI tools, adds references to published medical research, and Dr. Kini reviews, corrects and approves every article before publication. Nothing is published in his name without his sign-off. Articles are re-reviewed periodically, and the review date is shown on each page.

The process, step by step

Every treatment, condition and blog article that carries his byline goes through all five stages.

  1. Step 1

    It starts with Dr. Kini

Every article on this site is developed from Dr. Abhishek Kini’s own recorded clinical explanations and interviews — the same explanations he gives patients and their families in consultation. The clinical substance, the numbers from his own practice, and the judgements are his.

  2. Step 2

Our editorial team drafts and structures it

Our editorial team, working with AI writing tools, turns those recordings into a clear, readable article: organising the material, adding headings and summaries, and writing in plain language a patient can follow without a medical background.

  3. Step 3

Claims are referenced to published research

Where an article states a fact about risks, outcomes or timelines, we reference it to published medical research and established clinical guidance rather than opinion. Every reference is checked against its original source — the paper itself, or the issuing body’s own record — by a person rather than by software.

  4. Step 4

Dr. Kini reviews, corrects and approves it

The finished article goes back to Dr. Kini line by line. He corrects anything imprecise, adjusts anything he would not say to a patient, and gives his approval. Nothing is published in his name without his sign-off.

  5. Step 5

    It is dated, and re-reviewed

Every article shows the date of its most recent review. Articles are re-reviewed periodically, and the date is updated when the content is checked again — so you can always see how current the guidance you are reading is.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to help with parts of the writing process: transcribing Dr. Kini’s recorded explanations, organising them into a draft, suggesting plain-language wording, and helping us find published research to check against.

AI does not decide what an article says. The clinical content comes from Dr. Kini, every reference is checked against its original source by a person, and every article is read, corrected and approved by Dr. Kini before it is published.

Our sources

Factual claims about risks, outcomes and recovery are drawn from published medical research, peer-reviewed literature and established clinical guidelines, alongside Dr. Kini’s own surgical experience. Where an article describes what happens in his practice specifically, it says so. Each article lists its references at the end of the page.

Review dates

The “Last reviewed” date near the top of each article is the date Dr. Kini last checked and approved that page’s current text. Medicine changes, so pages are revisited periodically and the date is updated each time.

Corrections and feedback

If you believe something on this site is inaccurate, out of date or unclear, please tell us. We take corrections seriously: reports are passed to Dr. Kini, and where a correction is needed the page is updated and its review date changed.
